Overview

The Office of Admissions and Financial Aid at Penn GSE is seeking Admissions Student Assistants (ASAs) to support prospective student engagement and recruitment efforts. ASAs will report to the Graduate Assistant (GA) and play a key role in connecting with prospective students, assisting with events, and supporting marketing initiatives.

Required Duties

  • Prospective Student Engagement: Assist with virtual chats, information sessions, and campus tours to provide insights into the Penn GSE student experience.
  • Event Support: Help coordinate and execute both virtual and in-person admissions events, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience for attendees.
  • Social Media & Marketing: Create marketing collateral for social media outreach to engage prospective students and promote admissions initiatives.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Set a work schedule each semester based on availability.

Preferred Qualification and Essential Skills

  • This position is limited to full time masters students (any program) at Penn GSE. Domestic and International students are encouraged to apply. 
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage professionally with prospective students and present information clearly in both virtual and in-person settings. Comfort with public speaking is important.  
  • Customer Service Orientation: Commitment to providing a welcoming and supportive experience for all inquiries and event attendees.
  • Creativity & Marketing Knowledge: Ability to contribute to social media campaigns and design engaging marketing materials.
  • Organizational & Time Management Skills: Capable of balancing multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
