Overview
The graduate assistant will work closely with the senior instructional designer at GSE-IT in designing quality courses in Canvas. The instructional design team at GSE-IT is working with internal and external content experts on GSE programs. This role will be responsible for improving the digital accessibility of online course content. They will attend regular meetings with the instructional designer to track project progress and ensure the readiness of quality course content. Additional tasks such as drafting and updating technical documentation in the GSE-IT solution knowledgebase will be assigned as needed.

Required Duties
- Improve accessibility of instructional materials, such as adding alt texts to images in PPT slides.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the representation of instructional materials, such as adding open-source clip art and creating animated videos.
- Write and update technical documentation for learning technology tools.
- Compare and test technology tools to leverage teaching and learning experience design.
Preferred Qualification and Essential Skills
- Current student in the Learning Sciences and Technologies program at Penn GSE
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a wide-ranging internal and external client base
- Familiar with graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Canva
- Proficient with Office 365 tools such as Excel, Word, and Teams
