The student in this role will be expected to be available for 20 hours a week • At least 5 hours per week will be worked in evening or on weekend day to accommodate training needs • Exact schedule will be agreed upon by candidate and supervisor.

Overview
This individual will be assisting with the management and professional development of a large team of peer educators. Responsibilities include assisting with the onboarding and training of new peer educators, design of training curriculum, as well as evaluation and the assessment of Training efforts. This individual will provide administrative support to the program coordinator and assist in building / maintaining partnerships with campus cultural centers.

Required Duties
- Facilitate synchronous new tutor training sessions and oversee completion of asynchronous training site.
- Support the administrative onboarding of new tutors, including tracking completion of onboarding requirements and creating accounts within the tutorial software.
- Work with the program coordinator to design and facilitate professional development workshops on interpersonal aspects of tutoring, especially those related to creating an inclusive tutoring environment.
- Assist in maintaining the quality of tutoring services by tracking compliance of tutoring policies by students and tutors, providing support as needed to students in following our policies.
- Conduct observations and evaluations of peer educators on the staff and growth focused conversations.
- Manage and respond to emails from tutors and students using two departmental email accounts.
- Develop a working knowledge of all software systems and programs used to administer programs, providing support and tutorials to students as needed.
- Support partnerships between Weingarten tutoring and the cultural centers on campus.
- Assist in the assessment of services, coding survey data and identifying relevant information.
Preferred Qualification and Essential Skills
- Penn Graduate student with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Commitment to diversity and supporting underrepresented populations.
- Demonstrated ability to present and facilitate in front of groups.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Comfort with a variety of technical programs or ability to learn new software.
- Candidates with previous experience as an educator (peer education included) or within human resources given preference.
- Please note that final hire decision is contingent upon approval of the graduate group chair and/or academic advisor.
