Overview
- Wellness at Penn’s Student Health and Counseling is hiring a graduate assistant (GA) to assist in the assessment and development of the i care training and related programs.
- The i care training is an interactive training for students, faculty, and staff that provides skills and resources to intervene in situations of student stress, distress, and crisis.
- Related programs include be aware, an online program to improve awareness around mental health, tools to care for self and others, and Penn resources for support.

Required Duties
- Managing participant data, analyzing data, and writing reports of participants trained
- Attending in-person and virtual trainings throughout the year
- Supporting technical, administrative and promotional aspects of the training (e.g. registration, materials, and set-up)
- Navigating virtual platforms to assist with virtual trainings/offerings (e.g., Zoom, Canvas)
- Working independently and engaging in both in-person and remote work
- Strong collaboration, organization, writing and communication skills
- Experience and interest in college student mental health
- Applicants with clinical mental health experience can facilitate parts of the training.
Preferred Qualification and Essential Skills
- A Penn graduate student with a background in social work, psychology, or counseling
- Experience with data management (e.g., Qualtrics, Excel), and data analysis using SPSS
Other Notes:
- Position begins May 2026, for a minimum of one academic year
- Position is hybrid with flexibility to work remotely May-June. In-person requirements begin in July/August 2026.
The position is 20 hours/week and will pay $25-$27/hour depending on qualifications.
