Overview

The Master of Science in Social Policy (MSSP) is a graduate program at the Penn School of Social Policy & Practice (SP2). Our program is designed to empower social justice-oriented policy professionals who possess a critical eye toward data use and analysis to create meaningful and enduring change in the areas of health, housing, education, immigration, climate change and beyond. 

We are seeking a highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented graduate student to work with MSSP, focusing on benchmarking research. This role is ideal for students interested in higher education administration, policy analysis or institutional research. You will gain hands-on experience conducting research that directly informs program development and decisionmaking at the university level. 

Work Environment:

Required Duties

  • Conduct benchmarking research on policy and internship programs at AAU member institutions. 
  • Analyze data and generate reports summarizing key findings. 
  • Present research insights to SP2 stakeholders. 

Preferred Qualification and Essential Skills

  • Strong research and analytical skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work well independently and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. 
  • Experience with large datasets or higher education research is a plus.
